Toner Saver

Saving money today is a full time job. Most of us already have the full time job and the money is spread so thin we are constantly looking for ways to cut our cost on everyday functions. Printing is just one of those areas; whether it is for your home or business we are looking to shave some dollars. Here we will give you a few ideas on saving on your toner costs.

When you see the “low toner” light on it does not mean we swing into “Emergency” mode. Try this; take the cartridge out of the printer and shake it very gently. By doing this you are waking up your cartridge for a few more print cycles. The light should go off and this will save you money by using your toner cartridge to the last drop. If this little trick doesn’t work, then your toner is really near empty and it is time to order more toner.

Another way to save on toner is to buy in bundles so you get a even more of a discount on your order. Toner bundles are a great way to save money, as the bundle price is cheaper than buying each cartridge individually. When shopping online be sure that you find a store that offers free shipping, since you will most likely receive free shipping for even a purchase of one toner cartridge think about the value of buying in bundles.

Another way to save money on your toner is by buying a laser printer that has a separate toner cartridge and drum unit. You usually end up replacing the toner more than the drum. Think about it, why keep buying a drum that doesn’t need to be replaced? It ends up being more costly in the long run to buy the one unit than replacing the toner when it is low.

Check the yield of the toner cartridge; this is very important (pages per print). Yield determines how many pages you will be able to print before the toner cartridge runs out. Yield is explained as a certain number of pages based on a certain amount of text coverage per page (i.e. 4000 pages at 5% coverage).

We hope these tips will help you save money on your toner. Printer Products Etc. does understand that every little expense can add up and we try to help eliminate some of your printing expense by offering the lowest prices for all the top brands of toner cartridges. Magnetic Attraction

Leave a lasting impression, create your own business cards and be as creative as possible. It is very easy and it will save you some money.

These can be easily made using magnet paper or card stock and purchasing sticky business card magnets from any office supply store. Or even special ones that are in different shapes and sizes.

The paper will need to be cut on a paper cutter after, but makes nice business cards.

If you are using printable magnet paper be sure that it is for the type of printer you have.

Open a blank document in Word or similar:

 Click Tools
 Envelopes and Labels
 Type information that will be on the business cards in the area marked “address”.
 Select “Print Full Page” of the same label
 Be sure to use the proper size of the card by choosing the correct “product number”
 Change the size of the card by clicking Options and then once you are done click Okay.
 Click New Document, (do not hit Print yet) You will see a page of the business cards you want.
 Make any changes needed,
 Click File and then Click Save (always save your work for future prints).
 Now Click File again and then Click Print Preview to make any necessary corrections.
 If everything is to your liking now you Click File and Print.
 Your best bet is to always Test first on a piece of plain paper.

Special Note: Be sure that you don’t use inkjet paper in your laser printer – always use the proper paper in the respective printers.

Always check your supply of ink or toner cartridges before starting any special projects. You don't want to get caught empty handed. Buy your top brands of ink and toner at low prices. Click here.

Quick Tip on Toner Cartridge

Vertical or horizontal marks on the page are generally caused by the toner cartridge. Try a different toner cartridge (new or empty) to determine whether the marks are repeated. If a replacement toner cartridge does not fix the problem, a service call may be required.
