Scrap Book Statistics

In 2003, according to the Hobby Industry Association, scrap booking ranked among the top 3 fastest growing hobbies in the US.

In 2004, scrap booking is considered as one of the hottest and growing trends in hobbies. It is estimated that one in five US households is engaged in scrap booking. And each month, millions of scrap bookers are gathering nationwide for scrap booking workshops, commonly known as "crops".

In 2005, 29% of U.S. households have tried scrap booking and 13.5 million people or 12% of households, completed at least one creative memories project. Those homes with children under the age of 6 were 80% above average in their scrap booking activities. The leading theme for creating memories is recording family history, with vacations, babies and children, gift albums, and family events such as birthdays, holidays, and wedding close behind. Scrap booking attracts a broad audience with no age limits. How old is the average scrap booker? The average age groups ranging from 18 to 65+ years old who indulge in creating their memories.

As you can see, scrap booking has come a long way over the years. Today, moms, kids, grandparents, and friends spend countless hours creating memories by printing, cutting, framing, labeling, and detailing their precious memories.
